Who It Is For

Adults who were never assessed, and kids who are struggling now

Adult ADHD is one of the most commonly missed diagnoses. Years of disorganization, missed potential, and working twice as hard as everyone else eventually look like anxiety or depression, and treating the mood without addressing the ADHD leaves the engine running. We evaluate adults who were never assessed as children, as well as children (6+) and adolescents struggling at school or home.

An ADHD evaluation here also rules the alternatives in or out: anxiety, mood, and learning-adjacent cognitive weaknesses can all masquerade as attention problems, and formal testing is how you tell them apart.

What Is Included

Formal testing, not a questionnaire

The Neuropsychological Evaluation is built on objective, empirically supported instruments: standardized intellectual assessment (WAIS-5 for adults, WISC-V for children), executive functioning batteries such as the D-KEFS, computerized continuous performance testing of sustained attention (Conners CPT-3 and K-CPT-2), measures of attention and processing efficiency, multi-informant rating scales where appropriate, and embedded validity measures, so the conclusion stands up to scrutiny from prescribers, schools, and workplaces. The exact battery is tailored to your history and referral question.

Every evaluation ends with a detailed written report, a feedback session, and specific treatment directions with referrals, including to prescribers if medication is part of the plan. We do not prescribe medication ourselves; the report is built to support that decision with whoever does.

Cost & Timeline

Published pricing, about two weeks

The Neuropsychological Evaluation is $2,650 for adults and $2,950 for children and adolescents, all-inclusive: the $250 intake credit, all testing sessions, scoring, the written report, and feedback. A Good Faith Estimate is provided before services begin.

Most evaluations run about two weeks from intake to feedback, with the written report finalized within one to two weeks after the feedback session.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does ADHD testing cost in Utah?

At Godfrey Advanced Psychological Services, a comprehensive ADHD evaluation is $2,650 for adults and $2,950 for children and adolescents, all-inclusive with published pricing and no waitlist.

Can adults be tested for ADHD?

Yes. Adult ADHD evaluation is a core focus, including adults who suspect lifelong ADHD that was never assessed and adults whose anxiety or depression treatment has stalled because attention problems were never addressed.

Is this just a questionnaire?

No. The evaluation includes formal cognitive, attention, and executive functioning testing with validity measures, alongside the clinical interview and rating scales, which is what distinguishes a defensible diagnosis from a screening quiz.

Will the report help me get medication or accommodations?

The report documents the diagnosis with formal test data and provides specific recommendations, which is what prescribers, schools, and workplaces typically require. We do not prescribe, and we refer you to trusted prescribers when medication is part of the plan.

Does insurance cover it?

We are a self-pay practice and provide a detailed superbill for out-of-network reimbursement; see our reimbursement guide. We are unable to serve individuals covered by Medicare, including Medicare Advantage.
